Embroidered Tulle
Embroidered Tulle Lace
Embroidered tulle takes a fine, sheer net base and scatters or trails it with embroidered motifs, giving a lace that is soft, transparent and light in the hand rather than structured or heavy. It is the fabric most associated with bridal veils, overlay skirts, evening wear and delicate lingerie, where the point is to let the body and the layers beneath show through the mesh.
AnBella Designs stocks embroidered tulle in cotton, nylon and fine polyamide bases, each with a slightly different transparency, stretch and hand — all sourced as deadstock rolls rescued from European mills rather than freshly produced to order. Sold by the metre, it suits designers and ateliers working on bridal and eveningwear, as well as home sewists after something finer than a standard net. Because our embroidered tulle lace is deadstock, the quantity of any one design is finite; once a roll sells through, that exact print will not return, which is very much the trade-off for sourcing fabric this way.
