Chintz lace brings embroidery to a glazed, lustrous fabric finish, giving a subtle sheen that plain matte lace does not have. That extra dimension of light and shine makes it a distinctive choice for occasion wear, eveningwear and statement pieces where a fancy, slightly formal finish is wanted alongside the embroidered detail.

AnBella Designs sources its chintz lace as European deadstock, sold by the metre to designers, ateliers and home sewists working on eveningwear or speciality projects. Because chintz sits within our smaller speciality range, quantities are limited from the outset, and a particular chintz design will not be rewoven once sold through.
