Eyelet Lace Fagotting

Fagotting is an open, ladder-stitch trim used to join two pieces of fabric with a visible decorative gap between them, rather than a plain seam. In eyelet lace, that openwork technique pairs naturally with broderie anglaise cutwork, giving heirloom-style garments — christening gowns, blouses, children’s wear and fine linens — a delicate, airy join where panels meet.

Our eyelet lace fagotting is sourced as European deadstock alongside the rest of our eyelet range, sold by the metre to designers, bridal and childrenswear makers, and home sewists who want to join fabric panels with a decorative, historically rooted technique rather than a hidden seam. As a niche, specialist trim, quantities are small, and a particular fagotting design will not be rewoven once it sells out.
