Colourful Lace & Trims

Most embroidery stock is white, ivory or ecru. This is the part of the range that is not. It gathers the pieces carrying real colour: black and red wool/acrylic guipure laces and entredeux, black cotton guipure insertion lace, chintz-finish black guipure trim, blue cotton eyelet lace, grey gimped nylon tulle trim, lurex guipure, and poly-organdy and eyelet trims embroidered in rayon in blue, rose and multicolour. Rayon guipure motifs and cotton guipure Ship’s Wheel appliques sit here too.

Start here when a garment needs contrast rather than a tonal white-on-white finish – a dark guipure edge on wool, a coloured eyelet on a child’s dress, a motif meant to be seen. Laces and trims are sold by the metre from 1 metre; motifs and appliques are sold as pieces. These colours were dyed for one mill run and are not repeated.
